The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket) works to promote more and growing companies and a sustainable and competitive business sector in all parts of the country.

The Agency is also to have an active and strategic role in support of entrepreneurship, the competitiveness of enterprises and national and regional development capacity.

Better regulation is a priority area where the Agency is working in various ways for regulations that are as simple and effective as possible, so that everyone can consider starting, running and developing a business.

The Government´s objectives are to reduce administrative costs to companies by 25 per cent by 2010 and bring about a significant change in day-to-day business operations.
